...Interested in Integrative Medicine?

The Job and Rewards: The UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine has an opportunity for a medical student to spend 9-12 months engaged in research at the Center over the next academic year. This would involve working with a multidisciplinary study that is performing a randomized, controlled trial of the effects of adding meditation components to diet and exercise for obesity, and examining the effects on meditation on metabolic and immunologic function. There are also opportunities to work with an existing dataset from a Program Project grant testing the effects of meditation on HIV, using a psychoneuronimmunology framework; a goal would be to apply biostatistical training to work on a publishable article.

The Support: This opportunity comes with a stipend of approximately $2,000/month and support for biostatistics and other clinical research training courses. We are seeking a highly motivated medical student, with an interest in Integrative Medicine.
